A Time To... Volume 2 with two of my stories is now available at the Wolfsinger Storefront. Marva says: The Delegate is Science Fiction although the anthology tends toward Fantasy. My other story, A Visit to Potter's Field, is pure fantasy or should I say humorous horror. Wondrous Web Worlds #7 with "Fish Story," a little tail (I mean tale) about a strange species of fish on an alien world. | Date | The News | | 6/28/08 | I typed THE END on "Midnight Oil." Revisions, edits, and critiquers yet to lambast it, but I'm done with the first draft. | | 06/27/08 | Tales of a Texas Boy: Large Print now on Amazon in a new, smaller trim size (7.44x9.5). You can now buy Tales in four paperback sizes and as an ebook. | | 06/15/08 | Weirdly II: Eldritch (ebook) will be available June 24th from Wild Child Publishing. The book has those, plus another five tales, each one crazier than the last. | | 03/07/08 | A Time To... Volume 2 will become available about mid-month. Tales of a Texas Boy: How do you handle a crazy jackass? Eddie knows. If you asked Eddie, he'd tell you pigs can fly and show you where to find real mammoth bones. Take his word for it when he tells you always to bet on the bear. These are things he learned while dreaming of becoming a cowboy in West Texas during the Depression. Through Eddie, the hero of "Tales of a Texas Boy," we find that growing up is less about maturity and more about roping your dreams. Hold on tight. It's a bumpy ride.
Cadida and the Cave Demon: Weeks after Cadida, the daughter of a rich merchant, escapes from the clutches of a band of raiders, she decides she'd better return to the cave, where she had been held prisoner, to see if the raiders had captured some other poor soul. She summons her Djinn, Bascoda, to guide her back to the cave. Cadida, Bascoda, and Sheik, her dog, return to the cave where she was held captive. They find someone in the cave, but not a prisoner as they expected. Cadida, Bascoda, and Sheik take on the raiders again to help a very lonely demon find a new home.
Cadida and the Djinn: What's a bored little rich girl to do? Why, get herself captured by raiders and thrown into a cave to be sacrificed to a demon, that's what. She soon discovers there isn't a demon, but a Djinn named Bascoda on the lookout for a new master. After that? She has to figure out for herself how to escape from the raiders. Her brand-new genie proves less than useful and a handsome sheik doesn't come to her rescue. Having to rely on her own wits, she discovers she's more resourceful than she knew.
